We believe blockchain technology will reshape global finance. We're supporting the next generation of thinkers who share that vision.
SwiftSwap is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange committed to financial privacy and open access to global finance. We believe that decentralized finance has the potential to provide financial services to billions of people currently excluded from traditional banking systems.
To support the next generation of blockchain thinkers, we're offering a $500 USDT scholarship annually to a college or university student who can articulate the most compelling and original vision for the future of decentralized finance.
The scholarship is paid in USDT (TRC-20) โ a fitting choice given our mission of enabling borderless, permissionless financial access.

The SwiftSwap scholarship committee will evaluate essays on four equally-weighted criteria:
Does the essay offer a fresh perspective, novel argument, or unique analysis? We're looking for ideas we haven't read before โ not a retread of popular narratives. The best essays will surprise us.
Are the blockchain and DeFi concepts described accurately? We're not expecting a PhD dissertation, but submissions that demonstrate genuine technical understanding will score higher than those with factual errors about how blockchain systems work.
How deeply does the essay explore its chosen topic? Does it consider second-order effects, unintended consequences, and real-world complexity? Shallow surface-level essays score low here.
Is the essay well-organized, clearly argued, and engaging to read? Strong writing makes complex ideas accessible without sacrificing substance.
You may mention SwiftSwap as an example, but essays should not be promotional. We're looking for genuine intellectual contribution, not marketing content.
Creating a TRC-20 compatible wallet is straightforward and free (Trust Wallet, MetaMask, etc.). We're happy to provide basic guidance to the winner if needed.
Yes. The scholarship is open worldwide. Tax and legal obligations of receiving the award are the winner's responsibility under their local jurisdiction.
Minimum 1,000 words, maximum 2,500 words. Essays outside this range will not be considered.
We may publish excerpts from exceptional submissions with the author's permission. We'll always ask first.
